Suppose you switched on your PC to work on MS Outlook. Promptly after opening MS Outlook, you clicked on Send/Receive button to send or receive some necessary mails which you were expecting from your client. But due to some annoying issue you start receiving an error messages like:

Step 1: Open Microsoft Outlook.
Step 2: Click on "Account settings" option from "Tools" menu.
Step 3: You should see "Email accounts" that you are using for this Outlook and "Double click" on it.
Step 4: New window will pop up in your screen- Change Email Account and Fill all the required information.
Step 5: Click to "More settings" option and after move to "Outgoing server" tab.
Step 6: Choose this option- "My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication".
Step 7: Click on "Ok" button to finish this process.
Note: If after trying the manual method still you get an error message 0x800CCC78 on your system then there is no other way rather than going to an third party utility like PST email Recovery. As it helps in fixing all types of errors and recovering corrupt Outlook data file (.pst) in healthy file format.
